One of our own personal favorites, Merriam Webster has a great online Dictionary for you to use, and has a Thesaurus too.

An advanced area for Dictionary and Thesaurus searches. Has some nice tools, but challenging for kids.
One nice feature is called the: Wordsmyth Vocabulary Quiz which lets you make a random vocab. test.
A great place to search for information. Their unique feature is called the Learning Search
You just type in a Search word, then the Grade you are in ( K-12 ) and you'll get nice results!
